About Me
Hello! My name is Treshia Thueson. I am a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN). This means I went through rigorous training, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Nutrition and served more than 1200 hours as an intern before I was allowed to practice on my own. During my internship, I learned about the process to help people gain better health through diet, exercise, and lifestyle changes. I have also been trained on the use of a low FODMAP diet for IBS by Monash University. Being an RDN means that I am nationally certified to give individualized nutrition advice through diet focused counseling, which is called Medical Nutrition Therapy.
My nutrition journey began several years ago. I simply didn't feel good. I didn't feel healthy. With three small children and a love for the outdoors, I knew I had to make some changes. I spent the next few years trying to eat right, losing weight, gaining it back, finding out I have Celiac Disease, and then learning how to eat right for my body and my disease. Because of the difficulty of my experience, I decided to earn a degree in evidenced-based nutrition and become a guide for other people who needed to take their own nutrition journey. Simply put, I want to make it easier for YOU to eat well and live well through good nutrition!
